New OTC932xL filter modules expand Okika’s Chameleon™ fixed-function filter options, while the new Chameleon Programming Board enables engineers to develop and test custom FPAA configurations.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — September 7, 2026 — Okika Devices today announced two new additions to its Chameleon™ Field Programmable Analog Module platform: the Chameleon™ 4th Order Butterworth Lowpass Filter series and the Chameleon™ Programming Board.
The new 4th-order filters complement the 8th-order Butterworth Chameleon filters introduced earlier this year, giving engineers additional options for compact, pre-configured analog filtering. The new programming board expands the platform in another direction, providing a convenient way to program, test, and evaluate custom configurations using Okika’s blank OTC9300L Chameleon™ Field Programmable Analog Module.
Together, the additions broaden the Chameleon platform for engineers who want either a ready-to-use analog function or a compact platform for developing their own FPAA-based designs.
New 4th-Order Butterworth Low-Pass Filters
The new OTC932xL series consists of 4th-order Butterworth switched-capacitor low-pass filter modules based on the Okika Devices AN231E04 Field Programmable Analog Array (FPAA).
An onboard EEPROM and internal clock configure the programmable IC as a fixed-function filter with characterized performance. Standard cutoff frequencies are available from 10 Hz to 100 kHz.
The Butterworth response provides a flat passband, no stopband ripple, and low ringing for step inputs. This gives designers a compact filtering solution without requiring them to build and tune a discrete filter circuit.
An input amplifier allows ground-referenced signals to interface easily with the single-supply module using only a few passive components. Internally, a fully differential signal path improves common-mode rejection, maximizes dynamic range, reduces susceptibility to ground noise, and prevents offset accumulation through cascaded filter stages.
Differential outputs can connect directly to differential or single-ended ADCs.
The new 4th-order modules complement Okika’s previously released 8th-order Chameleon Butterworth filters, allowing designers to select the filter order and cutoff frequency that best fit their application.
Additional frequency options and alternative filter topologies are also available upon request or can be developed using a programmable OTC9300L Chameleon module.

New Chameleon™ Programming Board
The Chameleon Programming Board (OTC9300L PROGV2) is a socketed test fixture designed for programming and testing the Chameleon family of OTC93xxL Field Programmable Analog Modules.
A keyed 10-pin programming interface allows engineers to use a standard 3.3 V SPI EEPROM programmer or an external microcontroller to load custom configurations into the EEPROM of blank Chameleon modules.
Header pins provide access to module I/O for circuit evaluation, while optional SMA connector pads simplify connections to laboratory test equipment. Onboard components are also available to support typical single-channel and dual-channel applications.
The board provides a straightforward development path for engineers who want to move beyond pre-programmed Chameleon functions and create their own analog configurations.

From Fixed-Function Modules to Custom Analog Designs
The OTC9300L Chameleon™ Field Programmable Analog Module provides the programmable foundation for custom Chameleon applications.
The compact 14 × 11 mm LGA-32 module integrates an Okika Devices FPAA with onboard EEPROM and a reference oscillator. While other Chameleon products ship pre-programmed for specific analog functions, the OTC9300L is supplied as a blank module that can be programmed in-system through SPI or using the Chameleon Programming Board and a compatible 3.3 V SPI EEPROM programmer.
New analog functions can be developed and simulated using Okika’s free AnadigmDesigner2® graphical design software.
Chameleon modules use Okika’s FlexAnalog™ FPAA technology, combining switched-capacitor analog design with a flexible routing matrix and more than 40 configurable analog modules (CAMs) with adjustable parameters. Engineers can implement functions including filters, amplifiers, comparators, oscillators, integrators, and other analog signal-processing circuits.
The fully differential architecture improves common-mode rejection and eliminates the need for a negative voltage rail in many applications. Built-in I/O amplifiers can also convert bipolar analog inputs to mid-rail-referenced differential signals using only passive external components.

Expanding the Chameleon™ Platform
With the addition of the 4th-order Butterworth filters and the Chameleon Programming Board, Okika is expanding Chameleon into a broader platform for both production-ready analog functions and custom programmable analog development.
Engineers can select a pre-configured filter for straightforward integration, or use the OTC9300L and programming board to develop and evaluate application-specific analog functions using the same underlying FlexAnalog™ technology.
